Gin was rescued from a dog fighting ring in Stockton, CA, as a small puppy. My husband adopted this sweet girl as soon as he laid eyes on her. With a labs character Gin also filled my heart with licks and loving when me and Vanilla became a part of her family. I'm sure Gin still is my husbands dog more than mine, but I have to say that where the food comes from makes a big difference to her :). Gin is a mellow, friendly but playful dog with an edge. She is a fierce mice and squirrel hunter and would probably kill every little creature from mice to rabbits if they made the mistake of coming too close. Towards people, dogs and cats this dog is extremely friendly, she can adjust her play to the right level whether the other dog is the smallest chihuahua or a big rottweiler.Gin has also showed her ability to adapt to the cruising life extremely well. After a week of sailing she picked her spot in the front to watch the ocean for dolphins and other marine life. After dark she crawls to sleep in the cockpit next to us.
